My Autobiographical Haiku

His Daily Prayers

When I asked my sixth-grade brother to proofread my essay, he pointed at a phrase and frowned. “This is awkward and your essay sucks,” he said teasingly. I furiously snatched my paper from his hands, wondering why I bothered to waste my time. After pulling an all-nighter perfecting my essay, I frantically searched for a stapler. My brother was showering, so I sneaked into his room. On his desk was a white notebook with a title, “Daily Prayers”. I opened it and found the most touching prayer of my life: “Please help Hannah get good grades, especially on her essay.”
